As we continue our lesson on Matter and materials, we continue to do fun science experiments. Today, we made our very own salted butter again. We have done this before but didn't have a video, so today, you get to see the process. We also made our own Bread a few weeks ago, you can check out that post here:   Cooking Class | How to make Bread | Homeschool | Lifewithme3 Materials needed to make BUTTER: Heavy cream glass jar with lid plastic wrap (optional) spatula or spoon for removing butter from jar bowl with lid for storing the butter Pour heavy cream in glass jar. Do not fill. You need air space for shaking. cover jar and shake until you see the fat separated from the liquid. that liquid is now butter milk. you can store it to use in your favorite recipes like cakes and biscuits. cover jar with cream and shake again until it's now looking light and creamy. pour into bowl, add a pinch or two of salt, mix well. Home Made Butter A Fun project to do with your children 🙂 .. I always include something fun, engaging and hands on, when doing my lessons. Keeps my son’ interest. We did this in the fall. simply pour some whole milk or heavy cream in a mason jar, seal and shake. fat Will separate from the liquid. Drain and you have creamy butter.
