Kids TV Shows | Positive or Negative Influence? | Mommy blogger

I was browsing through facebook, when someone shared a link about TV shows and Autism. Now, the article itself, though stated, that a research was done, did not prove anything or have any detailed facts that shows the connection with Autism to these shows. I have not done my fear share of research on Autism, but as far as my common sense is taking me, I'm sure that a TV show, cannot cause Autism. But, anyway, I will not get into an argument on this.... However, I do agree with some of the complaints, that these TV shows can affect a child mentally and behaviorally. I think almost every person can relate to this. I remember the annoying callou! goodness, that kid was a whiner! He always wanted things his way. I always made my kids switch to a different show when he comes on. I do think they've heard the cry from parents and made a few adjustments to the show. I am still not a fan. Then there are most of the cartoon shows on boomerang. The violence in these shows are not for...

Book Review | An Almond All Alone | Lifewithme3

DO not use any content without written permission. -- " An Almond All Alone " We received this fun book in the mail last week and had to make it part of our story time. My son love the color and graphics. It's a nice story about an almond that was looked down on because of his physical appearance, which lead him to having no self confidence. He didn't think he can do anything great until he met a nut just like him. A friend. Someone that believed in him. showed him that anyone, no matter their challenge, can be great and achieve great things if they look past their flaws and put their mind to it, if they think outside the box. He did not just encourage him, he worked with him so they can both achieve their goal. Sometimes in life, we need a friend to encourage and help us get to where we want to be. Here are a few pics of my son trying t...

I've been looking for ways to get him at least one package per month to boost his excitement. So, a few months ago, we decided to join the brand repping world. It has been hard getting selected but we finally got picked up by a few shops and it has been fun so far. The kids love receiving the lil clothing or toy or book in the mail. Double excitement when it comes on his name. Here he is modeling two beautiful and comfortable shirts from one of our favorite shop  S ew Chill Designs . You can view the website for a variety of different items for both boys and girls. Here he is in the " Bat Boy " shirt.

Our New Home School Room | Lifewithme3 |

DO not use any content without written permission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When I decided to home school my son, we used every part of the house. From the basement to every room got abused by our activities :). It was hard keeping up with the chores of cleaning up and rearranging furniture at the end of the day. My living room was always a mess. So i decided, it's time to set one room for this. I had a vision and i have put it together (well, most of it). It took me two months to get it all together due to order issues (I swear, every store I ordered from sent damaged items to me. It was frustrating). Nevertheless, I got it complete and i'm happy with it. Still need a few tweaking and a few pieces (science and sensory) but it's ready for use. The Preschooler is absolutely in love with his new space. He is always in there doing some sort of craft, or at t...

Bean Planting | Parts of a plant mini lesson | Lifewithme3

About two weeks ago, we learned about the parts of a plant. Our bean sprouted so quick and so nice, we didn't want to just throw it away, so we decided to move it to a pot outside to see what will happen. This is him helping. It was such a fun and exciting little lesson for him. I love doing hands on and interactive lessons with him. ~~~~~~~~~~ All photos posted here are property of Life with Me3.
