Cooking Class | How to make Bread | Homeschool | Lifewithme3

Today as we continued with our lesson on Matter and Materials and mixing matter, We decided to do a lil experiment. That experiment led us to making bread. He did a great job following the directions and his bread turned out so good!

He had so much fun! Recipe below.

FULL RECIPE

*Makes one loaf* 3 1/4 cups flour (I used all purpose but you can use bread flour) 1 tablespoon instant yeast 2 tablespoon sugar (helps the yeast ferment) 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (you can use melted butter) 1 3/4 cups warm water PROCESS Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Add oil and water, mix until it forms a sticky dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface by folding and stretching it. Do this until dough is no longer sticky. Place the dough in bread pan or baking dish. You can roll the dough in different shape to fit your pan. You can also section it to make smaller size or rolls. Let dough rise until doubled in size. Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes until fully cooked. Let cool before slicing. Enjoy!

It has also helped with keeping everything organized and in a set place, which makes the process of schooling so much easier. Here is a peak of our area.😃. Our sensory area is not quite done yet. I'm trying to decide if i should leave everything on the floor (just put a mat under) or build a table for it.
