Growing up, I’ve always heard the saying “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. All play and no work, makes Jack a dull boy.”

A few days ago, Someone said to me that “It’s wrong to teach your child at home. That’s for the teachers. At this age(he’s 4), he should just be playing.” 🙄🤔🤔..
.
First: A parent is free to educate their child at home. There are many reasons why we choose to home school.

Secnd: My child plays! Matter of Fact; most of our learning is through play. We use games and quizzes for all of our lessons. We hike through out neighborhood and the lil bit of parks that we have, talking about every thing we see/observe, and more... We do a lot of crafts and go through more supplies than a school of children 😂.. Imagination runs wild here. .. really really wild! There are times when you really do not want to be a part of his stories 😂😂.. then there are times when I feel like he’s “an old wise man living in a child’s body.” 🤔😂🤔😳🤔😂..
.
I support education through play and I also support all you awesome moms and dads out there that fuel your curious little one’ interest in learning! If they want to read, teach them to read! If they want to write, teach them to write! If they want to make mud puddles, by all means, Go make mud puddles with them! And guess what, There is a lesson or two or more they can learn through making mud puddles: what is mud? how did the water get brown? where did the water come from?......chances are, you’ll have an awesome child that will want to write down what he/she learned.. so, if they don’t already know how to read and write, be prepared to hear “Mom/Dad, how do you spell mud and brown and water?.... 🙂 Do not push that child away. Feed that child the knowledge he/she craves! 🙂..

BUT WAIT!🚫 The next time you come across a child that can read and write, don’t judge, don’t compare.. same goes if you see a child that can’t read or write well. Every child learns at a different pace. .

It has also helped with keeping everything organized and in a set place, which makes the process of schooling so much easier. Here is a peak of our area.😃. Our sensory area is not quite done yet. I'm trying to decide if i should leave everything on the floor (just put a mat under) or build a table for it.
