Art and Crafting is something I always incorporate in our daily schedule. We do something for almost every subject area that we cover for the day. When we were working on our “letter C” theme for the day, I had calico cat paper craft set but then thought, it would be so nice to sculpt this. I started with playdohbut thought, this won’t last. playdoh comes apart when dried. I wanted this to last. Of course I had no clay. So I decided to make my own 🙂. Some flour and salt did the trick!! Simple and easy to make, and best of all, it’s made with things you already have at home.

Recipe: I used one cup salt to one cup flour. I gradually added cold water and kneaded into a dough until it was smooth and firm.
*do not use to much water. You do not want the dough to be sticky.

It has also helped with keeping everything organized and in a set place, which makes the process of schooling so much easier. Here is a peak of our area.😃. Our sensory area is not quite done yet. I'm trying to decide if i should leave everything on the floor (just put a mat under) or build a table for it.
