IT'S BEEN A WHILE | NEW PLAYDOUGH RECIPE| Lifewithme3 Homeschool

It's been quite some time since I've updated or made a post. But we are still at it. Life has been busy, The toddler has been keeping me on my toes daily🙂. Anyway, with her comes new creativity and ideas for toddler and preschool activities. One of her favorite activities is playing with playdough. She uses up so much of it daily. Hides them in corners and within toy bins causing them to dry out overnight. It became to expensive to replace them so often, so I got back to the DIY train😀.  This set has been my absolute best ever. Most durable, best consistency and texture. It's so soft and just perfect! It's been a week now and still soft. No drying and cracking. It's so easy to make. It does take about 20 minutes to make because it's a cooked version, but it's well worth it. Recipe: 1 cup flour 1 cup cornstarch 1 cup baking soda 1/4 cup salt 1 TBSP oil (I used coconut) 1-1/2 cup warm water Food coloring/dye Essential oils (optional) Pot (heavy base is best)...

Read Across America Week | Art/STEM/Writing project | Homeschool | Lifewithme3

Join us for a SUPER FUN Read Across America Week or Three 😄. Every year, we celebrate Read Across America by reading our favorite books and learning about the Authors. We do some coloring and quiz, but this year, we are doing it differently. We have decided to not just read and learn about the Author, but also learn to WRITE and DRAW like our Top three. We have chosen Dr. Seuss, Mo Willems and James Dean (my son's top three favorites). We will do three weeks; One week for each Author. We will write our own mini story in the style of each Author and do illustrations like them. We will then put everything together in the form of a book with cover page and all. The first thing we will do is brainstorm what we will write about, come up with a Title. We will create our story, proof read and lay it out on our pages. We will then do our illustrations. Final thing we will do is create our cover. We like to leave our cover for last because it has to be perfect. It will only be perfect if w...
